Himley - a walk round the lake

View of Himley Hall through the dinghies on the boat park.

It was a cold, almost misty, day

The scorer's hut

A duck keeping clear of an angler's peg

Lots of ancient trees

The thatched clubhouse of Himley Hall Sailing Club

The view over to the hills

Looking down from the dam to the Dudley Arms and the A449

Fishing and dog-walking

At the back of the island

Looking down on the lake from one of the hills.

It's warmer in the woods, so the daffodils are blooming

A very ornate bridge

Himley Hall through the gloom

A swan does not take kindly to the approaching goose

A cygnet (young swan) towers above the other birds - like an avian Gulliver

The sun almost came out for about two minutes - but I find the lake beautiful in all conditions
Back at the Hall, a flowering cherry.
The blog has been quiet this week, as I have had other commitments

Have a look at this, from Midlands Today. Yes, I am proud!!!
