Stakenbridge and Brake Mill

Here's an interesting short walk, which you can combine with the walk I'll post tomorrow - or just do on its own.
Stakenbridge is on the road between Churchill and Hagley
Starting by the fishery,

...I took the path next to the pool. Apparently it's part of the Monarch's Way (I must find out about that)

Past this field of inquisitive horses. We are deep into horsy territory here!

The stream which feeds the fishery. Quite muddy after the torrential rain.

After a turn, there are views towards Hagley.
 The path is easily followed.

There's a tiny hamlet tucked into this valley

 I love the housename sign
 Returning to the bridge.
Part 2 of this walk tomorrow

Walk details: Park near the railway bridge. Take the path by the fishpond Follow the Monarch's Way to a junction, then leave it, turning left. At the next junction, turn right past some very large and expensive houses. At the first footpath sign, turn right again to pick up the Monarch's Way again, heading back towards the hamlet at Brake Mill. Then rejoin the path you came on, back to the railway bridge. About 2 miles. Or walk down the road/drive way and abck along the road to your car.
