Stewponey - some more from my walk

Looks like one of the Stourton Locks has a bit of a leak

The canal here has houses with very well tended gardens

Stormy skies - again.

The canal is very near to the A449 - could there be anything to photograph on such a busy road?
Answer, yes! A field of ewes and their lambs.

Clearly, I look like a farmer: they all ran towards me!
Close up. The newest lambs are wearing a pink plastic coat. Pink is of course, very fashionable for coats this season

These sheep were very brave

I was the other side of the gate, in case you are wondering. You don't want to come between a ewe and her lamb.

By the Stewponey, the tea rooms. Originally (I presume) serving teas to tram passengers, now it's cyclists, canal travellers, and locals.

Back up the hill, the gatehouse to Stourton Castle

Over the road, these sheep haven't lambed yet

The leafy view from the path, over towards Dunsley

There are loads of these in the field. Fodder beet? Celeriac?

Back along the path to check on Chance Wood

Yes, the snowdrops are still there. They have been flowering for a month now. Still time to go and see them if you haven't already.
Today's walk: I just walked around the Stewponey area looking at whatever interested me. Apart from the two pictures in Chance Wood, all the others are with 900m of the Stewponey itself
