Padstow - from Stepper Point onwards

From the Daymark at Stepper Point, the coast stretches enticingly ahead

There was obviously another building here at one point - the foundations are still there

The peninsula narrows at this point, and you can see back to the Camel estuary

It looks as if this area will be an island one day!
Seapinks: some still blooming in November

The way ahead..

...and suddenly the sun breaks though

A deep valley (unnamed) could lead you back to the road, and back to Padstow
The sea was quite rough

One of the Merope Islands, only about 15 metres from the coast

I sat at the top of this cliff to eat my lunch, listening to the sea crashing below
The coast is very rocky all along this section

Looking back to my lunch spot
More of this walk tomorrow
