Trevone and Harlyn Bay

Looking towards Trevone bay, the "beach" is really just rocks

The black bit in the foreground of the previous picture was this: the imaginatively named Round Hole - a collapsed underground cave. I didn't like to get any closer

Looking back to Trevone Bay

The white houses of Trevone can just be seen

Trevose Head in the distance

Looking back along the route

My final destination ahead: the sandy Harlyn Bay,beloved of surfers

Lots of samphire growing wild on the rocks

Fascinating sand ripples

The car park, with its prettily painted ticket hut, stretches over three fields in the summer, but there were just these few cars in November. The hourly bus from here back to Padstow is £3.10
