Bewdley to Stourport - river walk

Here's the first section of today's walk. It's from Bewdley to Stourport along the river  - about 3.5 miles
Starting in Blackstone car park

There are lots of walks which start here, though I'm doing one of my own

Not so much Blackstone, as red stone.

Looking over to the opposite river bank, and Areley Woods

The rowan berries add colour to a dull day

Caravan settlement high up, away from the all-too-regular floods

The bright green sides of a football pitch contrast with the natural green of the wood

This lovely old chalet is by Stourport Motor Yacht Club

Arriving in Stourport

Close up of the bridge

This is what lies beyond the bridge - but I'm turning left instead...

...towards the fairground, beloved of Black Country folk. It's looked on as a kind of seaside!

Today's walk was 9.5 miles altogether, though this section is about 3.5. The rest will follow over the next two days.
