Staffordshire Way: Codsall to Brewood

Colourful sumach tree, leaving Codsall

Back to small fields and peacefully grazing cattle

This lovely bull was on the path, but didn't turn a hair when I walked past

This lady counts plants for Natural England. She was counting wild roses and willow trees today

That looked a bit precarious

From the quiet of the path to the noise of the motorway,

Next to it, but a world away are these recently harvested bales

Sowing.

This is "The Avenue" at Chillington Hall

Hooray  - that church steeple has to be Brewood!

Getting nearer

First, crossing the Staffs and Worcs canal

Not the most exciting entry to the village...

...but you do emerge right by the church

More of the lovely village of Brewood on the next section of the walk.
